Diacylglycerol Oil (DAG) is a kind of structural lipids in triglycerides (TG) in which a fatty acid is substituted by hydroxyl group. DG is a trace component of natural vegetable oils and an endogenous intermediate product of fat metabolism in the body. It is generally recognized as a safe (GRAS) food ingredient. Dietary DAG Oil has attracted much attention due to its functions of reducing visceral fat, inhibiting weight gain and lowering blood lipids.
